$8000 Home buyer rebate can now be used for down payment in Johnson County KS

Well the day we have all been waiting for is finally here. HUD announced that they will allow FHA lenders to monetize the $8000 first time home buyer rebate so that you can use it to pay for your down payment.

If you have been considering buying a home in Johnson County but lack the 3.5% needed to receive an FHA mortgage your prayers have been answered. This is an incredible opportunity to buy your first home, with interest rates at a 40 year low and an excellent selection of homes to choose from.

The $8000 first time home buyer credit expires on November 30th 2009. If you have not closed on a house by that date you will be out of luck. Don't wait till the last minute as you may get shut out.

Michael, I talked to my lender about this today and she said the only hiccup is finding someone to do the bridge loan.  Hopefully they will get that worked out soon.

They will get this worked out. There is too much pressure on them to not.

Justin, I have used MHDC before and it is a good program. the income limits can be a problem sometimes.
